The Journal of Korean Diabetes (J Korean Diabetes) was first launched in 2000 as the official journal of the Korean Diabetes Association. It is published quarterly in 30th of March, June, September, and December, with articles in Korean either with or without English abstracts. The aims of this journal are to contribute to the cure and education of diabetes mellitus and the advancement of diabetology by sharing scientific information on the latest developments in diabetology among members of the Korean Diabetes Association and other international societies.

The journal publishes articles regarding education, information, and basic or clinical studies related to diabetes. The editorial board calls for articles from international research or clinical study groups.

Publication is determined by the editors and peer reviewers, who are experts in their specific fields of diabetology. Manuscripts are categorized as review articles, original articles, or case report. Index words from medical subject headings (MeSH) list of Index Medicus are included in original articles and case reports to facilitate article searches. The journal is also published on the official website of the Korea Diabetes Association (http://www.diabetes.or.kr/pro/search/sub01.php?idx=1). It is widely distributed to the members of the Korean Diabetes Association, medical school, libraries, and related institutions. All or some of the articles in this journal are abstracted/indexed in KoreaMed, Synapse, KoMCI, and Google Scholar.
