Abstract
Insulin autoimmune syndrome (IAS) is characterized by spontaneous hypoglycemia, extremely high insulin levels, and the presence of circulating insulin antibodies in patients who have never been exposed to exogenous insulin. IAS is usually related to autoimmune disease such as Graves` disease and to previous exposure to drugs. But, IAS has not been reported in patients with hemodialysis diagnosed chronic renal failure. Recently, we experienced one case that developed symptomatic hypoglycemia in chronic renal failure.
Key Words: Chronic renal failure, Insulin autoimmune syndrome, Insulin antibody, Hypoglycemia
